Important Blogging Tips Part 2

Blogging Tips Part 2

blogging

Hello again to my readers, I have a few more tips for blogging that will help you on your journey to become a successful freelance writer. If you have read my article from before “3 Blogging Tips for New Writers.” You know that we have already covered these three topics:

  • How important it is to Organize Your Thoughts
  • Researching the Content
  • Giving Citations When and Where it is Needed

Today we are going to tackle 4 more blogging tips that will be a big part in your blogging and writing career. Now keep in mind that Content is King and all that the previous article covered is just as important there are 4 More Blogging Tips that I would like to cover in this segment.

Try to Backlink Your Work

No, matter what you are doing if you are writing in your daily blog, or if you are doing some work for a client that you have. One of the biggest things that you could do to help boost your visibility online to your blog or your clients work is to have a few backlinks in your article or blogs By using the backlinking technique you can drive clients and viewer’s to other articles blogs or other work that may help them with something that they are working on.

Setting Up A Secondary Blogblog

You are going to find that the more that you write blogs and articles that you are going to want to separate some of them from the Professional Articles or Blogs that you have done for clients. Then you are going to want to have your Personal blogs and articles that are more for your enjoyment and to let your hair down so to speak.

It is important to make sure that you have the ability to split up your work because there are going to be times that your clients are going to want to see your work, and you are not going to want to send something that is not what a client would not want to see. Always make sure that your personal things stay on one blog platform and your professional pieces stay on another. That way you have less chance of sending something that a client would find less appealing and would not want you as their writer.

Be Sure to Use Search Engine Optimizations

This is a technique that a lot of clients are going to ask you to use. So, GET USE TO IT😊 there are tools out there that will help you come up with the best optimization in phrases. (Don’t work if you do not know what Search Engine Optimization is, it will be covered soon in another blog.

Make a Solid Portfolio

Another one of the best reasons to make sure you separate your person work from your professional work is to help build a solid portfolio. By presenting a blog with nothing but professional work you are offering the client a look at how you present your professional work as a blog.

But offering the client the link to your blog they can not only ask you to work for them. But they can also have the ability to follow your work as you grow as a writer. Plus, they may also send another client your way because they were impressed on how your work is presented.

By adding just these 4 useful blogging tips you will increase your chances with gaining a visibility online for viewers and clients alike.

Hopefully if you are reading this you are going to be getting into the wonderful world of Blogging and Article Writing as a Freelance Writer. If you are let me be the first to say congratulations at choosing to be your own boss.  However; there are a few things that you should know as a freelance writer before you get in too far.

The one thing that a lot of writers are going to tell you is “Content is King.” This phrase while it is overused a lot in many ways it has a good meaning behind it. Keep in mind with every piece that you write for a client you want to make sure that it is well researched and well written content. You will find that clients are not going to want to pay for half way done work. That is why I have composed this blog 3 Important Blogging Tips to try and help those out that need it.

Organizing Your Thoughts2015_11_30_osoba_wypelniajaca_formularz

No matter what the topic that your client has given you, take the time and organize and break your article, blog or essay down into sections and work on in different parts. By doing it this way you do not overwork yourself, you do not catch yourself stressing out as much. Plus, you will find that you will get the work done in half of the time that it would of taken you if you had not had it organized. This is a major time saver for those that have families 😊

Research Your Topics

This does not mean go to Wikipedia and use their information. Use different sources other than the internet. Yes, there are some very reliable places to go to on the world-wide web. However; there is a lot of fake information out there as well, and well you do not want to end up giving your client some wrong information and it end up hurting them in the long run. Because by them having a bad experience with your work they will tell others and you will not get that much work or a low rating from other clients.

Always Remember to Give Citations When Needed

You would be surprised as to how many writers get into what they call their Zen when they are writing and they completely space off and forget to do the citations. Always remember to do them no matter what even if you must write yourself a reminder before sending your client the finished product that way you do not look bad for forgetting it.

These 3 things are so important in the writing industry no matter if you are a freelance writer, a journalist for another company or a columnist for a newspaper you will find that just by using these 3 blogging tips your career as a writer will take off and you will go places you never thought you would.
